Udio’s New “Voices” Feature Free for Everyone ‘til Sept. 25
Source: Udio
Udio has rolled out Voices, a new feature that lets you create songs using a specific voice from the platform’s Voices library or from your own past creations. And for a limited time, everyone can try subscriber-only features free of charge — but only through Sept. 25, 2025.
Normally, advanced options like saving and re-using voices, customizing styles, and blending multiple styles are subscriber-only. But until the deadline, all Udio members can experiment with the full feature set.
How It Works
Head to udio.com/create or the Create page in the menu.
Toggle Voice Control on.
Pick a voice by dragging from the library, clicking the +, or pulling one from your own library.
Optionally adjust Voice Strength (defaults are recommended).
Subscribers also get long-term tools like saving voices for later and style blending.
⚠️ Note: Voices can’t be used with older songs (created before June 2024), with songs made by other creators, or with songs tied to uploaded audio.
Where to Get Help
For more guidance, Udio points to its Discord (with a dedicated #voices-feature channel) and official announcement post.
The company even jokes about the origins of the new tool: “hamsters. Our very vocally-talented hamsters 🐹🎤🐹.” (In truth, it’s the result of work from Udio’s modeling engineers.)
If you’ve been curious about Udio’s subscriber features, now is the time to test them out before the Sept. 25 deadline.
